Craig Linke is a multi-award winning boutique building and interior design company committed to setting a new benchmark in residential interior design and construction. We specialise in architectural builds and custom renovation projects in Adelaide, South Australia.
THE ROLE
The Head of Construction is a newly created role designed to boost efficiency and champion continuous improvement across our building projects. This senior role will lead on-site delivery across Craig Linke's active projects, with direct oversight of the construction manager/s, site supervisors and carpenters who run each build day to day. This is a senior leadership role accountable for programming, costs, quality, compliance and WHS across every site, and for building and maintaining the trade and contractor relationships the business depends on. While this is primarily an office-based role, site visits will be required.
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
- 10+ years' experience in the construction industry, with proven senior leadership experience
- People leadership skills, with the ability to lead and hold a team of construction managers, site supervisors and carpenters accountable
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing project budgets, cost tracking and variations
- Sound judgement under pressure, and a safety-first mindset
- Highly organised, extremely efficient and self-directed
- Formal qualifications in construction, project management or an adjacent field an advantage
- Confident using AI tools; Claude experience an advantage
- Google Suite and WunderBuild experience desirable
- Current White Card and South Australian driver's licence, and full, unrestricted working rights in Australia.
