The Grounds, Kingswood

A space that sings against the backdrop of its extensive formal gardens, The Grounds takes its modern-classic inspiration from traditional English residences.

An open plan sanctuary featuring calming colourways and natural materials was the brief for this custom renovation to a circa 1910 character home, owned by one of Adelaide’s busiest obstetricians and his family. Conceived by our interior designers and brought to life by our building team, the project consists of a new kitchen and living space, butler’s pantry and integrated laundry, and bathroom.

Effortlessly accommodating both family life and social gatherings, the centerpiece of the home is its new kitchen, anchored by an abundant central marble island which overlooks the swimming pool and expansive grounds. Generous proportions, premium finishes and thoughtful storage are evident throughout, with details designed to elevate the everyday including French-laid limestone flooring, honed Carrara marble benchtops, textural Venetian plaster and antique bronze hardware.
