Villa 1890 Unley
Discover the reinvention of this circa 1890 villa at Unley that balances history, function and contemporary beauty.
The Paglia family's brief was to preserve their c. 1890 villa’s heritage facade and pay homage to the home’s traditional features, whilst meeting the needs of a modern family and their more contemporary tastes. At the heart of the design brief was a statement-making kitchen – a striking centrepiece anchoring the open-plan living space and serving as the true hub of the home. This needed to be both highly functional and aesthetically beautiful.
Harnessing natural light was a key driver of the renovation, realised through expansive steel-framed windows and doors, complemented by soaring ceilings in the new addition.
Our interior design and building teams collaborated closely to bring this major renovation and addition to life. This custom build is a beautiful showcase of our contemporary classic aesthetic, and a functional home that will meet the needs of this busy family for many years to come.
